Verilog-AMS is happening, whether you like it or not. The big
fabs are investing in it, big EDA is investing in it. The guys
at the fabs hate supporting all those incompatible versions of
Spice, and see Verilog-AMS as the solution.

In a discussion with one of them I made a comment: "very soon
simulators without Verilog-AMS will be unmarketable". The
response: "That's already true."

It's true at the high end. Only the laggards don't have it.
Some are using ADMS, and making inflated claims. The best
really do support Verilog-AMS, seriously. The best are not
Spice based.

Opposition here, or the appearance of opposition, will not stop
it from taking over. It can only stop us from being there.

The Designer's Guide to Verilog-AMS by Ken Kundert and Olaf
Zinke, Kluwer 1-4020-8044-1.
