Do you happen to have this as a git repository of individual commits
somewhere? If so, git-format-patch ought to be useful to make a dir full
of patches you can tar up.
I browsed the code though - looks very interesting. I've not had a lot
of time to think hard about it though, but it does seem like one nice
way of solving the problem.
