There may be a few cases where this may useful or desirable.
The problem probably occurs when you try to read the netlist into a
PCB layout tool which will complain.
How about if the rules checker flags the situation and gives a
warning and allows you to change it if you want to?
Some netlisters I have used give you an option of automatically
combining nets. Deciding what name it picks for the combined net
could be interesting.
