Subject: [DC] Next SMDC Chapter Meeting, 16 November, 2000

Greetings,

The Smoky Mountain Chapter at the Designers Council
will have a meeting on Thursday, November 16th, with Tim
Rauscher from Valor giving a presentation on the
PCB data transfer software: ODB++. The ODB++ and/or
GenCAM formats or a combination of the two may eventually
replace Gerber files, NC drill & route files,
component placement files, etc. as THE file transfer
format for PCB design, fabrication, and assembly; so
information on this format may become vital to you
in the future. [Gary Ferrai gave a presentation on the
GenCam format at our May meeting.]

The meeting will be held at:
#1 China Buffet
6300 Papermill Rd.
Knoxville, TN 37919
865-212-3788
[This is the old Desperado's/
Bombay Bicycle Club location.
Sorry, Mandarin House was not
available for this date.]

 Dinner is courtesy of Valor.

Please RSVP by Monday, 13 November,
to me @ tmartin@ase-tech-usa.com
or 865-330-1526.

Tom
