gEDA: Titleblocks and more...
HI,
This is part of a problem I have. I would like to specify a sheetsize
called "blocksize" that sets to A1 or whatever so when you zoom full
you get A1 and in a design you get a consistent "scale" of all the
schematics size all designers are using A1 for example.
Then when it comes to "title block", you select "block size A1" make
your title block according to the rules of your company with logis and
stuff then when final you change the "blocksize" to a userdefined size
in the size of a character and save the "title block" as a component.
Now, yoy just duplicate this look so we get A2,A3 or whatever size your
company are using in the same way by storing then with a minimal
blocksize and as a component.
The it it time for the real design, you set the "blocksize" to the
desired size A1 and the you do "add->component" and pick up your
"title block" of A1 size having place it on the schematics and applies
all the "normal" attributes on the component, like revision, date
designer and so forth.
The point with the "blocksize" of the "title block" is that you will
not
by accident touch the "title block" unless you can first find the very
small "blocksize" area of the "title block".
Also something else a blocksize could do is to in a component of a IC
you keep the blocksize big enough to wrap around the whole component
thus making that area "untouchable" so not anybody can write random
text and stuff inside the component or draw a net thru it.
Does anybody get thet point or atleast what I mean :)
