What do you mean with hardly,
If I want to specify some geometrical characteristics of a device, I have 
only to specify them in the  attribute value. Exple for a mosfet with w=5u 
et l=1u with model name nmos:
value=nmos w=5u l=1u.



It think that there are already too many attributes. May be a mode should 
be implemented in gschem which could limits the number of attributes when 
you are doing simulations(new only the attributes value,uref, label), 
editing a new symbol(all the attributes) and want to created a pcb ()( 
attribute footprint ) .
