Just looking at the web-picture... coolers!
One of the things which migth be good to have (like the Linux kernel
config has for instance) is actually a small Help description attached
to each choice, so that a less experienced user could see what the
selection of deselection of a certain choice may have which
implications on his work.
Integration with dpkg/apt-get would be splendid, just check an unused
feature and it will bet apt-get down and installed, I would like that!
;O)
It should also be easy enougth to be able to see which stuff is
installed and which isn't. You could have a RPM/DEB/Src flags showing
which install-option is being in use.
I *really* like the License column! ;O)
I think you should bring in the PCB related stuff, just as you could
conser Verilog and VHDL simulators (Icarus and Savant respectively).
I just saw the GUG (gEDA User's Guide) and it is taking shape. I think
you should make a separate chapter out of gnetlist instead of just
letting it be in an appendix. I am sure that could improve the
VHDL/VAMS backends documentation somewhat. I think you should more
oftenly do page-breaks, so that you start of on clean pages. I also
think you should put numbers in there so you can refer to subchapter
1.2.3 or whatever. Oh, you migth want to consider a space between
"The" and "VHDL" in the chapter on "TheVHDL backend".
Cheers,
