Andrew,

I already have X11. I take it I have to install fink first. When I
search for stuff there I find:

dlcompat - Dynamic loading compatibility library
dlcompat-dev - headers and static libraries for dlcompat
dlcompat-shlibs - shared libraries for dlcompat

libxml2 - XML parsing library, version 2
libxml2-bin - XML parsing library, version 2
libxml2-shlibs - XML parsing library, version 2
There is also a regular libxml thing for all the above, which is older

glib - Common C routines used by Gtk+ and other libs
glib-shlibs - Common C routines used by Gtk+ and other libs
glib2 - Handy library of utility functions
glib2-dev - Handy library of utility functions
glib2-shlibs - Handy library of utility functions
glibwww - Set of register/unregister functions
glibwww-shlibs - Set of register/unregister functions

gtk+2 - The Gimp Toolkit
gtk+2-dev - The Gimp Toolkit
gtk+2-shlibs - The Gimp Toolkit
There is also a regular gtk thing for all the above, which is older

Do I need all these above?

I find /usr/lib/libz.1.1.3.dylib and libz.dylib points to this. Is
this the libz you refer to?

I am a little nervous about all this as I have never really done this
before.
