Thanks to Steve Wilson and (of course, especially) Steve Williams,
the current CVS version of Icarus seems to run this code properly.

If you're as CVS-incompetent as I am, you'll appreciate this hint
on how to check out the latest code: the branch name is "v0_8-branch".
So the checkout command listed on the Icarus home page
http://icarus.com/eda/verilog/ needs to be changed to:

cvs -d :pserver:cvs@icarus.com:/home/demon/anoncvs get -r v0_8-branch verilog
