Isn't alpha the same basic endianness/pointer/long/int configuration as
x86_64? Maybe it's an OS thing. (Unless you're using linux, that is.)

I was able to build Qt fine under AIX--if you can build something the size
of Qt under that, you can pretty much build it on anything. =)
