I finally got around to looking at this patch.  I like these changes very
much, especially since they are non-invasive which make it very easy
to accept.  I have patched my local copy and I will commit it to CVS.

	Usability discussions are most welcome (especially ones with 
patches attached :-)  I am all for improving the usability of gaf.
