In fact, I've also been considering making a 0.9 release to get
people trying out the current development path. I'm not quite
there yet, because of considerable day job pressures (and other
priority tasks) taking up my time. But the problem seems to be
that the 0.8 release is "good enough" for a lot of people and that
eats into the potential base of testers for the devel branch;-/
What I need it some time to knock off a few more of the registered
bug reports (and get some of my day-job big designs through it)
before I make a 0.9 release. But I highly encourage testing of the
latest snapshot would improve things considerably.
