I figured out why we can't [yet] do this.  The same code that draws
regular text for copper and silk, also draws pin numbers.  If we take
out the gui check, all the pin numbers become unreadable blobs.

If you can figure out a way to differentiate "real" text from
"annotation" text, that'd be great.
