I don't personally, but I've heard of dbus working under Solaris...

Not being familiar with Solaris' package manager, I don't actually know
what that file is, or if it corresponds to "DBUS" as I know it.

You need dbus, and dbus-glib.

Thanks for that.. I've always got scared off by autoconf / automake in
the past, however the more I use them, the better I begin to feel about
them.
