Re: gEDA-dev: creating netlist from a PCB

There is no connectivity in layout traces. Yet.
It's on the horizon and gets talked about sometimes, and all the recent code
cleanups for easier UI's make that easier too. Connectivity would allow
checking/debugging shorts to be easier if it was added every so often for known
good layout that has already matched the netlist. In reverse, one net at a time
could be highlighted, and if you see it is reasonable, add connnectivity. Then
if you add a name to that connected set, you would have a netlist as properties
on the layout -- you could extract that.

PS connectivity on the layout would also be helpful for repeated layout cells
-- add connectivity to only the common traces, then place copies and highlight
each commmon net at a time while wiring it up with layout to connect the
repeated cells.
