gEDA-dev: Icarus verilog question

When I use $dumpvars to dump everything out, almost everything dumps 
fine.  However, my register file doesn't.  It is declared as:

    reg [15:0] 	  rf[0:7];

It doesn't appear in the VCD file.  What am I doing wrong?
