I've seen a lot of DC fans from different manufacturers. They all seem
to be more or less identical inside: a simple circuit consisting of two
transistors, some resistors and a Hall sensor. The only thing that
varies is the pinout of the connector - but that is easy to correct.
Red and black wires are for power and the third (usually yellow) is the
sensor.
The sensor pin is connected to the output of the hall sensor. It gives
a square wave with the same frequency as the fan.
I'm quite sure any 12V DC fan will work fine with your computer.
