Thanks .. I know (and knew) that it is possible.  My concern is 
that it could be different enough to be a maintenance issue.

My comment a while back:

.. is a "human resources" comment, not really a technical one.  
I will be amazed if someone steps up to do the work and 
maintain it.  What I meant here by fully native is to do it 
with M$ tools.
