Ummmm, is there any benefit to the *user* in such a change?  Does it
make gschem/gattrib/etc any more powerful or easy to use?

If the only benefit is for the developers, then why bother?  They
already know how the windowing system works.   It's a minor
improvement, not worth the bother, disruption, and bugs which would
result IMO.

A better place for work might be to put DOxygen comments
into libgeda so we can get clear API documentation.

Also, a project which really does need work is the re-vamping of the
data structures to support hierarchy.  Peter and Peter are working on
this.....   If you're interested in helping, maybe they can provide
some pointers about what to do.
