Others may be using a CNC machine to product PCBs; I am not. However,
I am highly interested in the EMC project (as a lurker), which
involves using a Linux box to control machine tools. It's a huge
project with all kinds of software used for machine control. I
believe they have a program to convert .dxf to G code to run a mill,
or they at least have pointers to one (maybe part of BRL-CAD?).
