I put a copy of the modified src/puller.c here:

http://www.delorie.com/pcb/puller/puller.c

:GlobalPuller
:GlobalPuller(selected)
:GlobalPuller(found)

Just replace your existing src/puller.c with it and recompile.  It
affects the current layer only.

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A BACKUP OF YOUR .PCB FILE!
